SIR WM. CROOKES DEAD.
LONDON. April 6. The dcatn is announced of Sir William Crookes.— (A. and X.Z. table.) William (mokes was one of the world's greatest chemists and physicists, making many discoveries of prime importance to the scientific world. In radiology especially his work was of the greatest value, the Crookes tube opening up vast new vistas of research. His researches into radium have greatly assisted in defining the properties and uses of that wonderful element.
