PIGEON FLYING.

AUCKLAND CLUB. The Auckland Flying Club held its fourth race of the young bird season on Saturday, the birds being liberated at Te Awainutu, an air-live distance of 83 miles frum Auckland. Weather conditions were again against fast racing, but good velocities were recorded. The winner .was Mr. E. Gilbert's pled cock Rudkln, which accounted for the journey in 2h 'Jthn. The seventh race of the young birds series, under the auspices of the Northern Racing Pigeon Club, was decided on Saturday, tie race being flown from Ohakuue, an airline distance of ISO miles 1276 yards, to th 6 winning number's loft. The birds I'ncomi tered roujxh weather all along the line of flight, but, being in remarkably good condition, they were responsible for doing the distance in sood time.
