HOKITIKA, this day. Early on Saturday morning an unoccupied building was destroyed by fire the cause being unknown. On Friday morning, at four o'clock another alarm was given, and two fires' were discovered in different parts of the town One outbreak, in the centre of Revell Street, was easily extinguished, but the other resulted in the destruction of an unoccupied residence, formerly the home of the late Hon. J. Holmes. Considerable alarm is felt, as incendiarism is suspected.
