HOME-COMING OF THE GUARDS

DIVISION'S VICTORY MARCH. LONDON, March 23. The Guards division, 10.C00 strong, had a great reception on arrival in London to-day. The function is attracting notice owing to the Labour troubles. Household cavalry headed the "victory" march of the Guards division, when 8500 men marched through London, from Buckingham Palace to Mansion House, thence to Hyde Park. The streets were gay with bunting. The Prince of Wales, as staff captain, rode on the left of Lord f'avan, commander of the division. The King and Queen and Princess Mary watched the procession from a dais at Buckingham Palace Cheering spectators thronged the route. Overseas and American soldiers occupied reserved enclosures. This was the first important procession of British troops in London since the outbreak of war.

The Guards' war casualties wore 13,669 killed, and 2:3.002 wounded. — (A, and N.Z Cable.).
