LOXDOX, March 20. The "Daily Express" states that Mr. i-ioyd George informed Mr. .1. H Ihomas, organising secretary of the National Union of Railwaymen, that the Government was introducing legislation without delay to nationalist* the railways. It is reported that the Government is willing to make the railway-men's war advances permanent. Mr. J. H. Thomas. M.P., general secretary of the National Union of Railwaymen, had a long conference with Mr. Lloyd George in Paris, and returned to i-ondon by aeroplane. The genoral feeling in railway-men's circles is that tho situation is easier. It is hoped Mr. Thomas will be able to announce a basis for a settlement.—(A. and N._". Cable.)
