NORTHERN UN-OX. CITY CI.UB ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the City Rovers Football Club was held at 28, Victoria Street, on Wednesday. The annual repoijt and balance sheet were adopted. Tbe balance sheet disclosed a credit balance of £20 9/9. The report referred to the past season as being fairly successful under the clrctunetances. The club had entered five teams for the various competitions. Although none of the teams i won championship honours the seniors were successful ln winning the Roope Rooster competition, whilst the second, fifth and sixth teams were rmuiers-up in their respective grades. This record reflected credit on the clnb, considering that fully 150 of its members were on service, and it showed that those who wer e left behind helped to keep up the football traditions of the club. Reference was made to the laxity of players, more especially seniors. In not taking advantage of the training shed, which was at their disposal once a week. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year : —President, Mr. D. Lindsay; vice-presidents, Messrs. W. Casey, J. Griffin, C. Boyle. F. Barber, G. Mobberley, C. Brocfillss, with power to add; club captain, Mr W. Davidson; secretary and treasurer, Mr E. Asher; assist, secretary, Mr. G. Stephens; delegate to A.R.L., Mr R. W. Pollock: delegate OJjniox .dvisory Board, Mr W. Davidson; committee. M-essrs G. Reid. 3. Rukntai, T. Cherm- ' side, J. Hogan, L. Richardson. B. Davidson,' V. Morrison, S. Postlewaight. P. McCnllongh, H. Hlbbs, C. Mitchell, S. Home and T. Dixon. A motion of condolence teas passed to the parents of those who lost their sons during tbe war. and also ta the members wbo were unfortnnH..
