AUSTRALIA'S WAR BURDEN.
£25,000,000 A YEAR. (Received 11.45 a.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. Mr. W. A. Watt, Federal Treasurer, stated that the Commonwealth's war burdens payable out of revenue amount to £25,000,000 a year. For many years the financial pressure will be so great that all resources of revenue must be levied upon.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
