ti,l f' ' Hob9 ° n Croquet Club opened the season at Remuera on Saturday aftcVnoon with a large attendance of numbers and fnends. The president (Mrs V Clark) formally opened the greens, and after AnTben, Pr T Dt >, d , S " ns l tie N » t Anthem, drove the Urst "ball down tbe ~ r™S?re<»ivc croquet was played, and, with the lawns in excellent order an enjoyable afternoon waa spent. Afternoon tea was provided by the members x. J r °P bT in the A P rad<> was won br Mrs H-bntt, and in the P. grade Mrs Rosslter was successful.
