SWEEPING SOUTH AFRICA.
CAPETOWN, October 11. There were 466 deaths at Kimberley yesterday, including 50 Europeans. It is estimated that 1,500 people, of ail races, have succumbed to the influenza epidemic there in nine days, two-thirds being from the mine compounds. The epidemic continues to spread in the towns of the Cape Province. — (Reuter.)
