THE KING'S CONGRATULATIONS (Received 2 p.m.) LONDON, October 11. His Majesty King George has sent tho following message to Sir Douglas llaig: "The magnificent advance of the armies under your command, powerfully supported by our American comrades, and opposed by the retreating but stubborn foe, and agaiust the most formidable defences which human ingenuity and strength could devise, fills rne with admiration, pride, and gratitude.
