APPEAL FOR EMPLOYEES.
The Waitcmata County Council, at its adjourned meeting this afternoon, carried by 6even votes to four the motion of the chairman (Mr. Aitkenhoad) to revoke a previous resolution of the council, so that it could, if considered advisable, appeal for any of its employees. The motion was submitted in connection with the appeal for Mr. Wright, The chairman next proposed that an appeal be lodged for the retention of Mr. Wright until the November draft goes into camp. This was being discuKeed when the "Star -, went to press.
