MEAT PRICES RAISED.
SYDNEY, this day. The new meat schedule raises the wholesale price of beef by S/ per 1001b. The retail prices of beef have been increased" ny ah" average of a penny a pound, though the best cuts have advanced twopence to threepence. Mutton has been advanced a halfpenny all round, while lamb is practically ■unchanged.— (A. and N.Z. Caible.)
