AIRMEN IN PALESTINE.
BRITISH SUPERIORITY. CAIRO. August :?0. Mr T. W. Massfy reports: "Our air service in Palestine maintains complete mastery of the air. During the last fewweeks it has destroyed 11 enemy machines and has driven down six. All save one fell in the Turkish lines, showing that we have to seek out the enemy, who avoids combat :is much as possible. The Australians share the air honours. In a recent encounter two Australian machines accounted for five out of seven attacking machines.'"—(A. and N.Z.)
