ADVANCE KSAR NESLE. BREAK IN HINDENBTJRG'S LINE (Received fl.r>o a.m.) WASHINGTON, August 20. General V. C. Marsh (American Chief of Staff) states that the French advance near Nesle indicated a further forcing in of Foch's pincers. The British gains northward were endangering the Hindenhiirg line, which had now been penetrated to a depth of one mile on a front of three miles. — (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
