The entries on March 11, 1917, whirt were written at Pskofl', read: "'I wene for a walk after tea. theh read an* played dominoes. "Ruseky transmitted our conversation to the commanders at the front. They replied that to save Russia and keep Uie array quiet 1 muet make up my mind te this step. I have consented. "I left Pskoff after midnight. My experiences are weighing most heavily upon mc. My tuoughts are with poor Alix, going through xhis alone. Mejf God help us all. Around mc are treacle cry, cowardice, and deception."
