Mrs. Kineton Parkes, who only arrived in Auckland on Saturday, came to New Zealand for her health, and went to Dunedin, and there gave various lectures for different patriotic bodies. Her ability and knowledge of tbe position in England led the New Zealand Alliance to ask her to take up the subject of national Prohibition in New Zealand on the lines laid down by the Business Mini's Efficiency Board and to bring the question of a referendum of the whole of the people on the questions of national reconstruction before the women of the Dominion.
