Furnishings for Springtime With the Springtime the age-long transformation begins, and every part of Nature clothes itself 1 anew. Through the centuries mankind has acquired the habit. There are few homes in which i Spring does not mean Spring cleaning. Once more the out-of-doors is dry and comfortably calm, | windows can be opened to their fullest extent, and the house must be made scrupulously sweet and I I clean to harmonise with the freshness of the Springtide air. The year's wear and tear on furniture 1 and furnishings must have meant that one or more article has played its part, and should he renewed 1 in order to brighten up the home or room. When such operations are in progress, our Furnishing I ' Department can be relied upon to provide articles which will be pleasing to the eye and economical I to the purse. Years ago we co-ordinated our Furniture, Carpets, Furnishing Drapery, and Crockery I Departments, and added a Wallpaper Department. This means that customers can obtain an article I from one department, and can then, or at a subsequent time, obtain articles from other departments I to match. Thus, after the carpet has been used some time, it may be desirable to re-paper the f I room or to add a couch or modern vases. Having purchased from us in the first place, our customer 1 is able to obtain articles in keeping, and this, as every lady knows, makes not only for harmony of I colouring, but for decided economy. We commend our Furnishing Departments to all those who con- ■ 1 template Spring cleaning. It will be a pleasure to give information either personally or by 'Phone I 1533.
