The principal business at the Town Board . on Thursday night was the discussion over the details of the electric light concession. These had been talked over at previous meetings. As the outcome of Thursday night's discussion alterations were made iii several clauses. The principal ones were in connection with the clause fixing the maximum price that should he charged for current and the goodwill, in the former the variation was made by allowing nt 7, H. and 21 years the amount of the maximum charge to be referred to an arbitrator for "adjustment. In the goodwill clause it was agreed upon that the amount should he the gross revenue for the year preceding should the Board exercise the right to take I over the plant at the seventh year, two- ! thirds of the gross revenue of the preceding at the fourteenth year, and __e-third a I the twenty-first year, in all cases the maximum sum to be paid not to exceed £2.300. . The contractor was granted permission to start with direct lighting from four to twelve. He pointed out that it.was impos- , sible to procure accumulators* at present. j :As soon as there was a demand for power i .he would increase the hours to eight to twelve, and as soon as accumulators wore available would institute a continuous supply. He intimated that he hoped to have the system running in a very short time. Keports of the water bore show that j the contractor considers he can get at . least three-quarers of the quantity speci- 1 fled from the bore he has just sunk. He I 'asked the Board to state the location of the second bore, which he proposes putting . down. The matter was referred to the engineer. ■
