PECULIAR TROTTING INCIDENT
■ - ■ A peculiar incident occurred in connection with the Flying Mile at the Stockinbingal (N.S.W.) trotting meeting recently. There were two starters, Globe Derby and Ribbonpool, the former conceding the mare 7s. Globe Derby, who was favourite at 3 to 1 on, moved off before his time, but his rider wheeled him round again. Bibmonpool's driver, thinking it was a false start, pulled up and turned round to come back, but an official told hint to goon. Globe Derby was then a. long way back, but the race continued, RibbonpooJ winning comfortably.
