• j A meeting of Auckland business men ' in the Council Chamber, Town Hall, this ' afternoon, approved of the Red Jersey , Appeal Fund, which is being inaugurated Lby the Salvation Array. The object of J the movement is to raise £25,000 in the , Auckland Province for the Salvation Army's work among the New Zealand ' soldiers in the field and in camp. All , those present were appointed a general committee, with power to add to their f number. Mr V. J- Lamer was appointed , chairman, .Mr W. R. Wilson deputy -chair-. , man, and Mr Wm.
