WORSE THAN GAS.
FRITZ'S TOBACCO SUBSTITUTE. LONDON, June 16. An Amsterdam message reports a lively scene in .the Reichstag. Several members asserted that beechleaf, a substitute for tobacco, was being supplied, and that it affected the health in certain sectors of the front worse than enemy gas attacks. The Government admitted that the substitute had been stopped owing to its injurious effects.
