RUGBY. MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. The weekly meeting of the committee or the Auckland Rugby Union was held last evening. Present: Messrs. I*. Mackle (chairman), P. McElwaiu (lion, secretary), G. MEETING 01' EXECUTIVE. A meeting of the executive of the Auckland Rugby League, was held last evening. Present: Messrs J. c'arlaw. K. Frotit, V. W. iloope, J. Endenn. 11. Powell, U. Whitley, T. Sbeeh.iii to attend to farther his application for a transfer from City to the Maritime- Club. The transfer was granted. A letter was received from the secretary of the Ellenslle Grand Carnival Committee asking that a deputation be allowed to attend the meeting and further cllscuks the suggested postponement of the matches on Jum- 15, Messrs Sommervillo, Thorpe, and Hewsou waited on the League.
