AUCKLAND BOWING CLTJB. Tne Auckland Rowing Clnb held double sculling trials at the beginning of the week ! for tropli'cs presented by Che commodore ! (Mr H. Cleal). Westray and Murray won the first heat by four lengths, while the • second heat wa3 annexed by Williams and , Kirk, who won by one and a-half lencths. ; Hamilton and HugDl were first in the third ■ heat, winning by a length. In the semi- ! final Westrny and Murray won after a good race, while Williams and Kirk won the second heat. The flnai proved very exMt i Ing, and after a good race Williams and ■Kirk drew away from the others and won by one and a-quarter lengths.
