POPE'S EASTER WISH.
A LASTING PEACE. HEALING EXISTING HATRED. (Received 2.30 p T m,); NEW YORK, March 24. The Pope, in an Easter message to the United States, says that he could not make a better wish than that the Divine 'Redeemer should grant the realisation of the desire of all for healing existing hatred and concluding a lasting peace, hased on the foundation of the just fear of God and love of humanity, thus giving the world a new organisation of peoples and nations aspiring to a nobler, purer, and kinder civilisation.—(A. and N.Z.)
