WAIHI MINE FIRE.
•——-— (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WAIHI, this day. The fire at No. 9 plan level of the Waihi mine is now a negligible quantity. The smoke; which had practically penetrated the whole of the workings of the mine, is, excepting in the immediate vicinity of the small area affected, quite clear. The superintendent states that mining operations underground were resumed to-day.
