The National Efficiency Board hereby notifles. that in pursuance of the powers conferred upon it by an Order in Council dated February 2T, 1917, it is proposed to hold a n Inquiry at its office in the Bank of New Zealand Building, Auckland, commencing on TUESDAY, March 19, 1918, at 11 a.m., before GEORGE ELLIOT Commissioner for the Auckland Military District, to receive such evidence as may be tendered, bearing upon education as affecting air persons engaged in industries, professions, and occupations. By the inquiry, which will extend over some considerable period, it is desired to elucidate the best course to be pursued the training of the youth of the Dominion, not only in personal knowledge and skill, but in civic responsibilities. Inquiries will also be commenced on the same day by other Members of the Board at Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin. If found desirable, further sittings in other centres will be held on subsequent dates, to be announced In the local newspapers. Persons desirous of giving evidence at any sitting in the Auckland Military District should forthwith communicate with the undersigned, stating the points upon which it is desired to give evidence, so that suitable arrangements may be made to take such evidence. Persons desirous of giving evidence in the Wellington, Canterbury or Otago Military District should communicate with the General Secretary of the Board.
