LESSONS OF THE STRIKES.
SYDNEY, this day. Mr W. E. Fuller, who was ActingPremier during the recent strike, claims that during that strike the Government was aWe to administer a lesson which he believed would be productive of much good, and would be appreciated. The workers now had a saner unionism and ■better relations with their employers, and had also better industrial conditions. A report tabled in the House of -Assembly shows that the Government's control of the coal mines cluring tho strike period entailed a loss of £15,000. KA. and N.Z.)
