SUPREME COURT ACTION.
CLAIM FOR £210. At the Supreme Court to-day. before his Honor Mr. Justice Cooper, the case was continued in which Edward Sanderson, settler, of Auckland, proceeded against John Henry Pearson, of Auckland, for an amount of £210. The defendant died shortly after the action was commenced, and the case was now being carried on by the Public Trustee. Mr. A. E. Skelton appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr. J. R. Reed, K.C., and Mr. Inder for tbe Public Trustee. The statement of claim alleged that on or about September 8, 1912, plaintiff lent and advanced to the defendant a sum of £210, and the return of this amount was now claimed, together with interest. The defence admitted that the 6uni mentioned had been paid, but alleged that the money was held by tbe plaintiff upon trust for the defendant, and, was part of the purchase price on the sale of a property held by the plaintiff in trust for tho defendant and sold by the plaintiff on the defendant's account to one David Goldie. The whole of the morning was devoted to the examination and cross-examina-tion of the plaintiff Sanderson.
