SOLDIERS' ALLOWANCES.

(By Association.) WELLTNfiTON, rriday. The executive of the New Zealand Keturned Soldiers' Association passed a resolution to-day expressing the opinion that the allowances based upon the new scale to come into operation on January 1, 1918, should be made retrospective to the date of the soldier's enlistment, to the wives and children of all married soldiers, whether the latter are still on active service or discharged.
