OHAKUNE RAILWAY EXTENSION

(Ky Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) OHAKUNE, this day. The opening of the Ohakune-Raetihi railway has been definitely fixed to take place at Ractihi on Tuesday next. It is not yet known which Ministers may be expected, but Messrs. Smith, M.P., Jennings, M.P., and several oEher members are expected, as well as representatives of the Wanganui Chamber of Commerce and many other local bodies. The Rae tihi people, with characteristic hospitality, have made comprehensive arrangements for entertainment of visitors, and the gathering is expected to be a very large one. A special time-table has been arranged by the District Traffic Manager i for the opening day. The official train ! for the opening ceremony will leave Olmkune at 2 p.m., arriving at Raetibi at 2.40 p.m. Distinguished visitors will be i banqueted at Ractihi on Tuesday evening. ling.
