W.C.T.U. CONVENTION.

The annual district convention of the Auckland branch of the Women's Christian Temperance Union was held in the Central Mission Hall on Wednesday morning. Mrs. Cook, president, presided. The report showed a satisfactory year, nnd delegates were present from various brandies outside the city. Mrs. Todd and Mrs. ISrook represented Birkenhead, Mesdames Fiillj,,mcs and Penning Takapuna. Mesdaines Logan and Stucey Onehunga. Mesdames McArthur and McDonald. Otahuhn, Mesdames McKay aud Oilman Henderson. Mesdames Nesbitt nnd Morgan Avoudaie, Mesdames Dick and Hudson Eden, Mrs. Wilson Warkworth, Mrs. Hoke Matakana. Mrs. Gozar I'nkiii, Mrs Wyntt Leigh, Mesdames Plummer and Turner Ponsonby, Mrs. Nelson Kati Kati, Mrs. W. Taylor Waihi, Misses Trigg and Thomas the liewlyfoniit'd branch of the V Union at Avondule. and Miss Osborne tbe same movement in the city.
