' All over the world patriotic societies • have found the sale of badges a sue- • cessful means of securing public support. ' Unc reason is, no doubt, that the badges , can be kept as a memento of the war, 1 which givss them a special value. This ! idea ha_ been adopted in connection i with "Our Day"' appeal in Auckland on the 10th, and as a result there -will be ' on sale badges and miniature flags of • artistic design. The 10/ exemption ' badge is printed on w-hite satin, and ; depicts a 'wounded soldier in blue hospital garb lying on a stretcher, with the - words "Help Our Wounded Boys." The " 2/6 badge is also printed on satin. The 1 design is the kiwi and the N.Z. flag, and the 1/ badge is the Red Cross flag !on white ribbon. There are the eight : flags oi the Allies. ' ■
