OPOTIKI APPEALS.
• (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) OPOTIKT, Saturday. A number of appeals were heard by the Second Auckland Military Service Board at Opotiki to-day. Archibald T. Tew (a fanner with four brothers on active service). John HL MeGinley, C. E. McGinley, George .1. Wilkins. and James T. Donaldson were granted adjournments sine die. The appeal of Thomas Matchet, a halfcaste, was allowed. Tho following adjournments were granted: Till December 13, Samuel Patterson (blacksmith). W. T. Black, G. Vv*. Butler, and C. P. Ryan (formers) ; till November 15, L. S. Small and 11. .7. Claydon (farmers); till October 18, Jas. Emmett (farmer). Thomas C. King (farmer) had his case adjourned till the December sitting, in view of the probable calling up of his brother. R. G. Sarby, sheep farmer at Cape Runaway, was given leave till November 15.
