At :i meeting of the committee of the ' X\ aikato Whiter Show Association, the secretary reported that he had already received applications for space at the j next show. The New Zealand Factory Managers' Association asked support for tiie following resolution: — •• i'hat all cheese and butter exhibits once received I or selected at a particular cool store to which any exhibitor so consigns, shall be substantially sealed by au authorised ; person, such seal to lie iutact when the stewards proceed to set out the exhibits preparatory to judging, otherwise the i Inhibits shall be disqualified." It was decided to support the resolution. The secretary reported that last year the exhibits had been battened down to guard against anl interference. In reference to tin's year's show the treasurer stated that members' subscriptions received amounted to £210. as against £214 for last year, and he estimated that fully another £25 would be forthcoming. The receipts for space amounted to £600. as against £.500 for the previous show, while the entry money showed an increase of £40. In reference to a complaint lodged by an exhibitor against payment for space, it was decided to enforce the charge made by the secret 7" l ? A su ="estion was made that exhibitors be allowed only one entry in eacii class; but the committee was of opinion that this would lead to a big reduction in general entries, though it was resolved to restrict exhibitors to one entry in special classes. A proposal of the secretary that the Association invest some £200 in war certificates, and ! that a portion of next year's prize moneybe paid out in these, was enthusiastically received, and it was unanimously | decided to act upon it. the hope bein<r ' expressed that other organisations would adopt a similar course.
