THE EFFICIENCY BOARD.
• ■ _ CONFERENCE WITH PREMIER. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") WELLINGTON, this day. The intentions of the Efficiency Board remain clouded in uncertainty. I The Premier stated this morning that I he has not even received any communication from the Board to create the im- • pression that members are labourin" under any sense of unfair treatment or lack of consideration on the part of the Government. It is significant, however, : of existing tension that Mr. Massey is j to meet members of the Board, probably '■ this evening, to talk things over. In the meantime the Board continues to carry on its work, and several members of Cabinet express a confident opinion that the Board will not resign.
