AUCKLAND RUGBY LEAGUE. A committee meeting of the Auckland Rugby League was held at 22, Shortland Street, last Wednesday. B. Emirali's application for a transfer from Grafton to Norfli Shore was approved of. The Junior Advisory Board's recommendation that S. McGregor and Norman be regraded from Ponsonby First Junior to Fourth Grade was not allowed. Their recommendation that a caution be administered to the North Shore player who was ordered off last Saturday, and also that the captain of the North Shore team be asked to appear for not giving the name of the player when asked, was confirmed. An application from Ponsonby and Thames Old Boys to visit Thames was granted by the J.AJ3., and endorsed by the League, on tho contrition that the teams submit their arrangements to the next meeting for approval. The Auckland Hospital and Charitable Aid Board wrote stating that Mr Ah Chee's application for extension of lease had been referred back to the League. It was decided that the matter be left In the hands of the ground committee to deal with. A suggestion that the North Shore v. Newton match be played as a curtain-raiser to the 3 o'clock match was carried. A notice of motion was tabled that the minute re disqualified players of the Rugby Union not being admitted to the League be rescinded. Upon a show of hands the motion was lost. It was decided that a- letter be sent to Mr Myers as_ing his influence for a Trentham League team to come to Auckland to play a match against the representatives,- and to nominate any charity to benefit from the proceeds. - FOR SATURDAY.
