ItF.D CKOSS BAZAAR. Weeks of steady work on the part of the -Auckland Oramniar School Old (.litis' Association culminated ou Saturday in the opening at the school in Mow. Street of a bazaar in aid of the lied Cross Fund. I lie opening ccraiionv was performed l.y the .Mayoress [Mr.. .1. 11. Ciin-oni. who brielly congratulated the girl, on the results ~1 their work. The bazaar wa. held in the assemblyroom, which had been specially decorated. and comprised a great many stalls, in nliieb tempting g 1., both useful and ornamental, wee displayed. There wail Hide's art gallery amongst the attraction., in which considerable interest '.vas taken. Other stalls contaiiii-d plait, and fancy good-, produce, homo-made cakes, sweets, and hooks. An adjoining room had he,.,, ii, t ,.,| ~,, ~s .. tearoom, and attracted a steady stream of visitors. T'ne following 'were the stallholders: Children's clothing stall. .Miss Butler: plain and fain-v stall. Miss llanan: hair and box .stall. Sirs. I'l mer: one shilling ami under stall. Mi.-s Morris mi: produce stall. Mi-.,.. Edgerlev and Spencer; sweets stall. Misses llrnwii ami W'estmi: tearoom. Misses McDonald and llrav. assisted by pupils ~| the school.
