NEWMARKET.
The Newmarket Borough Council met last evening, there being presents 1W Mayor (Mr. C. Leak), Messrs. A. beccombe. A. Sawbridge, A. E. Eagleton, X 0 Meara, S. Donaldson. P. S. Boone, P. S. Wade, and 11. J. Cooper. , A letter was received from the r»st-ana Telegraph Department, stating that rae matter of installing a eoin-ln-the-slot telephone iv Manuknu Road was under consideration, and forwarded a plan of rae proposed site. The plan was approved. The Mayor and Messrs. Seccombe : and Eagleton were appointed to ™P^L b t 1 n ,c Council at a special meeting of the EnM£ Services Board, to be held at the. T °l? Hall on July 1 to discuss matters_wita reference to the tramways sentatives from otter local bodies baicaiso been appointed.
