DINER TOrttNAMENT. The first of the semi-finals in Alcock's diner billiard te.iirnameni has been plavc.l when Mr J. Hamiltmi .scratch, beat Mr ll.' Burns (receives 2n| by seven points, arter a close and e-xciting game. Hamilton wns not, quite up to form at the commencement but after the halfway mark-was passed lie settled down, and tlie lust stages of the game were very exciting. This evening the other semi-final will be contested. Mr AY. Eyre will nie-ct Mill. Mellor.
