EPSOM CLUB. Tho eleventh annual meeting of the Epsom Bowling Cluh was held in the club pavilion on Wednesday evening, the president (Mr. A. Jouesi, In the chair, and about thirty members being present. The annual report staled that the season Just ended must be considered a most satisfactory one Indeed. Tbe club was In a sound linuiicial position, mainly through tbe careful und businesslike management of the various committees The green was playing jest as well aud running as truly at the end of lhe season as It was at the beginning, thanks to our painstaking caretaker.

Tbe treasurer's report showed that the] club's finances were In a sound position,! notwithstanding the fact that the club had some heavy expenditure in connection with drainage and green upkeep, anil the members can look forward witb confidence to lhe continued success of the club. The report and balance sheet were adopted The following officers were elected for the coming season —President, Mr 11. Tanner; vice-presidents, Messrs. A J McGowan and II Perry; secretary, Mr A Wright; treu I surer, Mr A. Jones; general coiumltte-e, Messrs W Smith J S. Williams, R G. Clark: mutch committee, Messrs. W. Smith, W Sunsbury, A C. Scott; green superintendent, Mr C. Watkins; amlltor. Mr 11. Wells: delegates to Bowling Centre. Messrs R G Clark and W Smith.

The presentation of (rophles won during lhe- season was as follows:—Championship, 11. Watkins; club singles. II Tanner; club pairs, E Sewell and It Bremner; club fours. J B Veale, F Richmond. G. Cow. G Watkins; first year championship, E. v ] Pollard; runner-up. E Combes (Mr. Arthur! Wright's trophy) I

1 Hiring the evening the president, on behalf of tho members, presented Mr S. 11. Harrison with a case of pipes, the recipient being a foundation member, the Urst secretary to the club, and also an ex-president. Mr Harrison is severing his connection with the club to fake up farming. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded, on the motion et Mr 11. Perry, to the Ladies' Committee, Mrs. Jones especially, for the able m.-.nner in which she seconded the efforts of the president for the- welfare of the clot, during (he season. The winter Erecn will be open for play on Wednesdays and Saturdays, at 2 p.m.
