VIOLENT ENEMY COUNTER-ATTACKS ON CARSO
COMPLETELY REPULSED AFTER WHOLE DAY'S FIGHTING. (Received 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, June 7. A Rome official report states that violent enemy attacks were made from the hill to the south of Versic House and the hill eastward of Jamiano. Our positions were strenuously defended. The engagement lasted nearly the whole day, with varying fortune until the evening, when the enemy was completely repulsed. Another attack from Flonder towards Sablici was promptly stopped by our fire before it developed.—(High Commissioner's Cable.)
