ALEXIEFF'S LATEST POST.
BDCXITARY ADVISER. PETROGRAD, June 7. General Alexieft" (late Commander-in-Chief of the armies) has been appointed military adviser to the Russian Government. The Petrograd correspondent of the "Daily Express" states that General AlexiefFs resignation of the supreme command is due to disagreement with the '"no annexations, no indemnities" policy of the Council of Workmen and Soldiers' Delegates. German newspapers interpret the appointment of General Brussiloff to be commander-in-chief to mean that the Russian Government seriously intends &a offensive. — (A. and N.Z. Cable.j
