OBITUARY.
MR. J. C. MORRIN. At the ripe age of 80 years a wellknown resident of Auckland, Mr. John Carsley Morrin, died at Otahuhu yesterday. At one time Mr. .1. C. Morrin was proprietor of the principal grocery and wine and spirit business in Queen Street, his premises being on tbe eastern side, nearly opposite the National Bank. After his retirement from business Mr. Morrin was for many years a parishioner of St. Matthew's. Of late lie has resided at Otahuhu. Although Mr. Morrin took a keen interest in public affairs, he never occupied office, being of a retiring nature. Tbe deceased is survived by his widow and several adult children. Mrs. W. J. Geddis, of Wellington, and Mrs. A. Littler, of Devonport. are daughters. MRS. HENRY E. WILLIAMS. A telegram received from Dunedin this morning by relations in Auckland announced the death of Mrs. Williams, wife of Mr. Henry E. Williams, general manager of the National Insurance Company. MYs. Williams was, before her marriage. Miss Belle Connell. and a sister of tlie late Mr. Geo. P. Pierce (formerly manager of the New Zealand Insurance Co. in Auckland).
