■tHE SECOKI* HtEBICAi BOARD. EXAMINATION OF VOLUNTEERS. The Second Medical Board, at present sitting in Auckland, was busily engaged in the examination of volunteers and men called up under the Military .Service Act. Seventeen volunteers presented themselves for examination, eight being accepted for active service and nine for home service. The majority of men who now present themselves for examination, are those who have been previously rejected, and wish to have their names withdrawn from the ballot, or those who have just reached military age. The Board will continue to examine volunteers until the rilst of the present month, when it leaves for Wharigarei it) examine ballot men.
