AIT. EDEN" BEATS EDENDALE. 'VARSITY ANT> AIKETA A DEAW. The second round of the hockey championship competitions was played at the Remuera grounds on Saturday afternoon before a moderate attendance of spectators. The ground, though a bit heavy, was in good "order.' but the weather was unpleasant, rain squalls setting In. making the footing treacherous as the afternoon wore on. In tlie- senior division Mt. Eden beat Edendale Old Boys -by one goal to nil, D. Alexander being the scorer. The match between Areta and rniverstty resulted in a draw, two goals each. For Areta Preston scored both goals, wliile Garrard and Somers got the net for University. SECOND GRADE. Areta v. University.—Areta 9, beat University 2. THIRD GRADE. Somerveil v. Mt. Eden.—Somervell 3, beat Mt. Eden 2 dr lake's v. Gordon.—St. Luke's 8, bent Gordon 4. North Shore v. Ponsonby.—North Shore won by 3 goais to nil. FOORTH GRADE. Granger v. University.—Granger 13. beat University 1. Wesley v. Areta.—Wesley College 2, beat A reia 0. FIFTH GRADE. Mt. Eden v St. Lakes.— Mt. Eden 3. beat St Luke's I. Stanley Bay Old Boys v. Nor'h Shore.— Stauiey Bay won by 8 goals to 1. LADIES' MATCHES. SENIOR, old As v. Anzar. —Training College played a drawn game with Anzacti, neither side scoring. JUNIOR. Henderson v. Eiplphany.—Henderson 32, beat Epipihany 0. PRIMARY SCHOOL HOCKEY. A (TRADE. Devonport v. Stanley Bay.—Devonport won by J goals to 1. Grafton v. Edendale.—Grafton 9, defeated Edendaie 3. B GRADE. Stanley Bay v. Devonport.—Stanley Bay won by - goals to nil. Mount Edea v. Grafton.—Monnt Eden 3.
