MONEY VERY TIGHT.
SYDNEY, February 11. The City Council is feeling the effects of the financial stringency, and finds it impossible to raise necessary money on anything like favourable terms. Lean times apparently are ahead. SYDNEY, this day. The electric lighting department of the City Council paid £10,215 last ye»r to make up the difference between the military and former pay of its enlisted employees.
