THE ADVANCE ON KUT.
MORE TRENCHES CAPTURED. HEAVY TURKISH CASUALTIES. (High Commissioner's Cable.) (Received S p.m.) LONDON, February 11. A report from Mesopotamia states:— "During the night of the 9th we repulsed four Turkish attacks on cur right. On our left our position ha* been further improved. On the lOtn our oold of the enemy trenches was rapidly extended by heavy bombardment and assault. "We captured 500 yards of trenches and the liquorice factory at Kut. To the right we steadily progress. We have a new line over a front of more than 6000 yards, the enemy being pushed back SOO to 1200 yards. There have been i heavy Turkish casualties."
