SENUSSI FORCE AMBUSHED AND ROUTED.

The War Office reports:—"Operations against the main forces of Sayed Ahmed, a Senussi leader in the western desert of Egypt, have been concluded. We attacked the enemy and destroyed a large quantity of ammunition. The Senussi sued. We captured an enemy convoy in" the Munasib oasis, and ambußhed the leading party of the enemy. Sayed Ahmed, a* the head of the main body, was forced to strike southwards into a waterlees desert. These operations are a severe blow to the Senussi. Their casualties reached 200 killed and wounded, including Turkish officers. We captured large quantities of stores and ammunition. The action took place south of Gara. We occupied Siwa and Munasib Pass."
