A marble statue of Captain Scott, erected by the people of Chrietchurch as a memorial to the Antarctic explorer, was unveiled this afternoon by bie Excellency the Governor in the presence of a large aesemWage. The statue which cost £1,000, ie the work of Lady Scott.
