ALLIED RESOLVE TO SHORTEN THE WAR.
SUMMER CAMPAIGN MAY BE THE LAST. (Received 11 a.m.) , LONDON, February 8. In the course of a public speech in London, Mr. J. Hodge, Minister of Labour, said:—'"l do not think I am giving away secrets when I say that the chiefs of our army and the armies of our Allies, after their recent conference, determined, it possible, to shorten the war in order to terminate it by the end of next summer."
